Група астронавтів після міжзоряного польоту тривалістю 40 років повертається на Землю. Але виявляється, що Земля поневолена жахливими інопланетними тварюками, що харчуються деревиною та людською плоттю. Цим мерзенним створінням допомагають не менш мерзенні продажні людці. Зрозуміло, що доктор Айвен Худ (Брюс Кемпбелл) потрапив зі своєю командою в полон. Краще б інопланетяни цього не робили. Сюжет
