Una possente e misteriosa voce echeggia nel cielo di Napoli : annuncia l'inizio del Giudizio Universale, alle sei di quella sera. Così una folla di personaggi si muove eccitata sotto l'influenza di quella implacabile voce. Dopo l'inizio del grosso processo, al quale tutti possono sentirsi presenti attraverso la televisione, il Giudizio è bruscamente interrotto da una pioggia torrenziale. E' un acquazzone che ha rimpiazzato drasticamente e definitivamente il Giudizio, cancellando la Terra ed i suoi mali ? Niente affatto, si tratta solo di una violenta tempesta, che pian piano si esaurisce. Così, quando la paura finisce, tutti tornano alle consuete (e non sempre benevoli) abitudini, dimenticando tutte le migliori intenzioni di redenzione avute appena qualche ora prima, influenzati dal terrore della imminente fine.

When the swindler La Spada and his accomplice José come out of jail in Madrid, they decide to pull a really great swindle: nothing less than to discover and sell a third picture of the famous Goya's Maya, the^ÔMaya in camisòn^Ô (Maya with a night-gown). They engage the renowed Scorcelletti who can imitate any picture and who lives in Rome. Afterwards, with the help of the beautiful Eva, they convince the celebrated art critic Francisco Montiel of the existance of a third Maya and let him find the picture. When the swindlers are on the point of selling the faked maya to an American millionaire, Scorcelli comes back from Rome to sell one of his six other maya pictures.
