Джеймс Паркер і Гарі Холт відправляються в експедицію в Африканські джунглі на пошуки скарбів. З ними в подорож збирається і юна дочка професора Паркера - Джейн. Зненацька на експедицію нападає плем'я мавп і викрадає дівчину.Так Джейн виявляється в обіймах Тарзану - володаря мавп, що живе у гілках могутніх дерев. Велике почуття любові до Тарзану захопило Джейн так сильно, що дівчина вирішила навіки залишитися з улюбленим у дикому лісі.
