Дія картини розвертається в кінці 19го століття на просторах Техасу, в період освоєння цих земель. Батько сімейства виїжджає продавати худобу, а господарювання і всю чоловічу роботу залишає старшому сину Тревісу.Не проходить і дня після від'їзду батька, як на ділянці сім'ї з'являється пронозливий висловухий пес, який влаштовує формений безлад. Молодший син, Арлісс, давно мріючий про собаку, умовляє маму залишити його в будинку, але Тревіс категорично проти цього.
Сюжет
Дія картини розвертається в кінці 19го століття на просторах Техасу, в період освоєння цих земель. Батько сімейства виїжджає продавати худобу, а господарювання і всю чоловічу роботу залишає старшому сину Тревісу.Не проходить і дня після від'їзду батька, як на ділянці сім'ї з'являється пронозливий висловухий пес, який влаштовує формений безлад. Dare is almost cleaned out when Tom appears and takes a hand and discovers the dealer is switching decks.
