After getting lost on his vacation, Bugs ends up in the middle of Transylvania. He decides to get a room for the night in a nearby castle, which of course turns out to be home to a vampire. The bloodsucker is looking to make Bugs his next meal, but the bunny has a few tricks, as well as a few magic words, up his sleeve.

He described the film as "The confrontation of a man and his torment. Trnka's sci-fi vision of the future in which machines and robots try to substitute themselves into the most beautiful human relationships. A cybernetic robot is supposed to substitute for the loving grandmother of a little girl. The wise grandmother, however, comes back and the girl finds the warmth of her grandmother's loving arms again. Trnka's artistic ideas in this film can be described as both poetically fragile and dramatically cautionary.

Проте з величезної котла з реактивами з'являється дуже далека від ідеалу потворна істота — Чудовисько (Чарлз Огл). Франкенштейн в жаху залишає лабораторію. Вдома студента заспокоює його наречена Елізабет (Мері Фуллер), і Франкенштейн приходить до думки, що штучне створення людської істоти — помилковий шлях, а істина тільки в людських почуттях. Чарлз Огл в ролі монстраУ день весілля Чудовисько, яке не може існувати без свого творця, проникає в будуар Елізабет. На її крик прибігає Франкенштейн. Елізабет в непритомності. Чудовисько збиває студента з ніг і переховується. Франкенштейна переповнює любов до Елізабет, і це почуття остаточно витісняє Чудовисько з його свідомості. Фільм закінчується метафоричним епізодом, в якому Чудовисько бачить своє відображення в дзеркалі і з загрозою здіймає руки — але раптом зникає, причому його відображення в дзеркалі залишається. Франкенштейн підходить до дзеркала і бачить у ньому замість себе Чудовисько.
