Одного разу Барнаба знайомиться з пасажиркою свого автобуса, і шалено в неї закохується. Дівчина відповідає взаємністю, але незабаром з'ясовується, Крістіна (Орнелла Муті) не зовсім проста дівчина, а справжня принцеса. Також виявляється, що вона не може вийти заміж за звичайного водія автобуса, та й до всього іншого, батьки дівчини, вже засватали її за мільйонера, який має врятувати їх фінансове становище.
