1990 рік, в Чилі режим генерала-капітана Августо Піночета. 17 років тому, при сприянні ЦРУ, він вчинив держпереворот і захопив країну, а всіх невдоволених новим режимом запроторив за грати тюрми Сантьяго. Це історія політв'язнів, що вирішили не миритися з диктатурою та втекти з в'язниці, аби, вже на волі, протистояти в лавах Патріотичного фронту тоталітаризму. Фільм засновано на реальних подіях.
Сюжет
1990 рік, в Чилі режим генерала-капітана Августо Піночета. 17 років тому, при сприянні ЦРУ, він вчинив держпереворот і захопив країну, а всіх невдоволених новим режимом запроторив за грати тюрми Сантьяго. Упевнений у підтримці більшості населення, диктатор призначає дату референдуму на 5 жовтня 1988 року. Але міжнародний тиск змушує віддати хоча б якийсь ефірний час опозиції. 15 хвилин нічного ефіру — за цей час відразу декільком політичним партіям треба консолідовано пояснити громадянам, чому потрібно проголосувати проти. Для цього вони запрошують Рене Савейду — успішного рекламщика, який багато часу прожив за кордоном і розуміє сучасні рекламні технології.Сюжет
