Влітку 1911 під час гастролей театру Миколи Садовського в Катеринославі кінооператор Данило Сахненко зафіксував на кіноплівку найкращі постановки трупи: п’єси «Наймичка» І. Карпенко-Карого та «Наталка Полтавка» І. Котляревського з М. Заньковецькою у головній ролі.
