Lino, an aging family man doggedly pursuing positions beyond his qualifications. Але більшою мірою картина «Немає звісток від Бога» зобов'язана своїм успіхом гарному сценарієві з розгалуженим сюжетом.На Небесах йде боротьба за душі померлих поміж конкуруючими корпораціями: Пекло (тут тіснява, розмовляють поганою англійською) і Рай (пустельна франкомовна зона) посилають своїх аґентів на грішну Землю – за поповненням. Чим далі від зав'язки рухається режисер, тим ближчим він стає до глядача; графік розумової проповіді зривається під натиском емоцій, повінь почуттів заповнює простір екрана.
Перверсні персонажі, що стали з легкої руки Альмадовара загальником, можуть викликати не просто туристичний інтерес. Чоловіче минуле грішного янгола і чоловіче сьогодення засудженого до смерти боксера – мала частина сучасного світу, що здався на милість жінці.
