Історія починається з того, що принц Таміно рятується від змія й потрапляє до володінь Цариці Ночі. Вона просить його визволити свою доньку Паміну, яку нібито викрав злий жрець Зарастро. Як допомогу, Таміно отримує чарівну флейту, а його супутник — птахолов Папагено — магічні дзвіночки.Проте з часом виявляється, що Зарастро — не тиран, а мудрий хранитель світла, і саме він оберігає Паміну від темних задумів матері. Таміно й Паміна проходять низку випробувань, щоб довести свою відданість і чистоту серця. Завдяки силі музики й любові вони протистоять страху та спокусі.
Сюжет
