The three men's and the whole Crime branch's fate changes with the arrival of their new boss. DCP Hari arrives and realizes that the CBI are not serious and that the rules, regulations, and the very reason for joining the police force, have been thrown to the wind. With his girlfriend Kiran whom he'd promise he would marry on his mind, he does not first like the promotion to DCP and transfer to Mumbai, but later accepts it. He soon watches the brutality of the police (especially Appa) to the henchmen and orders them to be released. But during an encounter the henchmen kill Khaled, this awakens the fire trapped within Vikram. He decides to join Hari and help him clear the city starting with Yusuf Pathan. Appa soon joins them and soon headaches arises for Walia and his gang. During the climax Appa dies in a dramatic trap. Vikram and Hari get Walia, Manik,Hirachand and Roshni arrested and convicted for their crimes and then Mumbai is clean once again.

Ambi is a meek lawyer, who wishes to change the society. But, because of his oft-repeated concern, people don't take him seriously. Besides, Nandini, the girl whom he loves, also rejects her because of this. This makes Ambi shattered, not before he encounters a website Aparichit.com, visiting which creates an alter ego inside Ambi's mind. For the girl he loves, he becomes a supermodel named Remo, and for the entire nation, to reform it, he becomes a vigilante named Aparichit, who not only teaches people the importance of following the rules, but also punishes them if they don't follow.

Michael (Ajay Devgan) , Arjun (Vivek Oberoi) and Lallan (Abhishek Bachchan) are three young men in Kolkata , with different ideals and objectives . Michael is an idealistic youth leader who dreams of a better India being created by the youth power . Arjun is a self-centered , opportunistic , easygoing fellow whose objective is to immigrate to a developed country and make big money . Lallan is a goon who works for Prosenjit Chatterjee (Om Puri) , an immoral politician . The lives of these three different people become intertwined following a murder attempt and an accident in broad daylight on the Hooghly bridge .
