Сюжет
1953 рік. Глухе румунське село. Вже 8 років, як країна опинилася у соцтаборі, але комуністам ніяк не вдається звабити принадами світлого майбутнього місцевих селян. Попри всі зусилля агітаторів, люди неохоче вступають до Комуністичної Партії, і взагалі, Румунія досі лишається 100% центральноєвропейською капіталістичною країною за ментальністю. Саме в цей час молоді Янку та Мара вирішують одружитися. Батьки запрошують гостей, ріжуть корови й свині та дістають з льохів добірне румунське вино. Та от невдача! Несподівано помирає радянський вождь Іосіф Сталін і комуністи на 7 днів забороняють будь-які забави, в акурат перед самісіньким весіллям! Невже доведеться викидати наїдки та виливати трунки? Ні! Але після того, як він не схотів звільняти з роботи музикантів, через їх єврейське походження, його самого було звільнено у самий розквіт слави. Тридцять років потому він все ще працює в Великому, але тепер він...прибиральник! Одного вечора Андрій допізна прибирав у кабінеті директора театру та випадково натрапив на лист, в якому йшлося про запрошення оркестру Великого театру на гастролі до Парижу. Раптом, Андрієві спала на думку геніальна ідея: а чом би не об’єднати старих друзів-музик, що перебиваються з хліба на воду, та не майнути у Париж, видавши себе за оркестр Великого?
