The story of a group of young New Zealand school boys. Because one of them is the nephew of a ship captain, they win the opportunity to go on a sailing trip. Some pirates (Forbes and Pike) are looking for a boat so they can go and find treasure on a deserted island. They manage to be recruited as crew members on that same boat as the school boys. After a mutiny, the pirates take over the boat and take the young boys as hostages. Helped by O'Brian, the young kids manage to escape from the pirates with the boat. After a storm, they have to land on a deserted island. They have learn to live together in harmony if they want their community to survive, despite the rivalry within the group. But is this island really a deserted one? And can they really get away from the pirates?

A young boy named Jimmy has in his possession a magic flute named Freddie that can talk and play tunes on its own. One day he gets on a magic talking boat that promises to take him on an adventure. Taking the still unconscious Major to safety, she joins him as Yeoman Diana Prince. Furthermore, when the forces of evil threaten the nation, Diana would spin to transform into Wonder Wonder, armed with a magic belt giving her tremendous strength, bracelets that can stop any bullet, a tiara that can be thrown as a returning weapon and a unbreakable magic lasso that can force anyone to tell the truth. After WW II, she returned to the Island, only to encounter Steve Trevor Jr., agent for IADC, thirty years later. Seeing the amazing coincidence as a sign, she returns to the Man world once more to resume her role as the greatest of the female superheroes.

The Marshalls - widowed ranger father Rick, and his two children Will and Holly - are on an outdoor expedition like they have many times before. While rafting on this trip, an earthquake opens up a chasm resulting in them tumbling across some raging rapids and over an unknown waterfall. They end up alive but in a world unfamiliar to them, a world they will ultimately coin the Land of the Lost. It is inhabited by creatures some they have never seen or heard of, and some which no longer exist in the world they knew back home, creatures such as dinosaurs. They will find that some of these creatures are friendly, and some of them which they need to stay away from for their lives. As they eke out a life in this strange land, they try to understand what got them here so that they can make their way back home, that process which is fraught with its own dangers based on the unknowns of what is on the path to home. What they are also initially unaware of is that Rick's brother, fellow ranger Jack Marshall, is trying to trace their path to locate them.
