Безробітний і безіменний чоловік, мешканець фінської провінції, їде в Хельсінкі з єдиною надією - знайти роботу. Але не встигне він зійти з потягу на вокзалі, як тут же буде жорстоко побитий місцевими хуліганами, побитий буквально до смерті. Його доставлять у лікарню, де він помре. Помре, щоб тут же воскреснути і, повністю втративши пам'ять, знайти себе зовсім в іншому, ніжному Хельсінкі. Щоб забути минуле, відмовитися від нього і одержати від долі новий шанс.
