The year is 1980. The Levis, a large family with a unique lifestyle, live in what was then a rather naive State of Israel. Mr. Levi lectures his children daily on the importance of fulfilling their dreams, while his wife preaches absolute family loyalty. The family's twin boys both fall in love with a new girl in town. Erez, our hero, discovers how difficult it is to balance family loyalty against fulfillment of one's personal dreams. Matters become increasingly complicated when Erez somehow causes a severe family crisis. Beset by guilt feelings, he attempts to escape his fate, somehow exchanging dreams with his twin brother. He is drafted into a commando unit of the Israeli Army, just as his brother always dreamed of doing, while Ofer remains at home to take care of his broken family and has an affair with the love of Erez's life. Can Erez challenge destiny? Of what value is the life of someone who does not fulfill his dreams?

In October 1995, three French sisters gather in the coastal town of Atlit, in northern Israel, to sell their late parents' home. While they are initially overjoyed at being reunited, tensions quickly arise between the two elder sisters. Trapped in a loveless marriage in Canada, Darel, the eldest, finds herself ultimately unwilling to sell the house or part with anything in it. Cali meanwhile always felt like the unloved middle-child and can't wait for the sale to go through so she can return to Paris with the money. Caught between the two, the free-spirited Asia tries not to take sides and prefers spending time with Dan, a childhood friend. Things really start to go haywire when one after the other, the sisters are visited by apparitions of their parents and Cali notices a mysterious Palestinian boy hanging around the house. At the same time, the whole world has its eyes riveted on Israel, as for the first time, it looks like lasting peace in the region might finally be achieved.

BEAUFORT tells the story of LIRAZ LIBERTI, the 22 year-old outpost commander, and his troops in the months before Israel pulled out of Lebanon. This is not a story of war, but of retreat. This is a story with no enemy, only an amorphous entity that drops bombs from the skies while terrified young soldiers must find a way to carry out their mission until their very last minutes on that mountaintop. As LIRAZ lays the explosives which would destroy that very same structure that his friends had died defending, he witnesses the collapse of all he's been taught as an officer, and his soldier's mental and physical disintegration.Сюжет (англ.)

Or shoulders a lot: she's 17 or 18, a student, works evenings at a restaurant, recycles cans and bottles for cash, and tries to keep her mother Ruthie from returning to streetwalking in Tel Aviv. Ruthie calls Or "my treasure," but Ruthie is a burden. She's just out of hospital, weak, and Or has found her a job as a house cleaner. The call of the quick money on the street is tough for Ruthie to ignore. Or's emotions roil further when the mother of the youth she's in love with comes to the flat to warn her off. With love fading and Ruthie perhaps beyond help, Or's choices narrow.
