Egon comes up with one brilliant plan after another to get the red suitcase in an attempt to assure world peace (and get the millions). The story is about the people in - and around - the cosy café Trinidad in the Copenhagen canal street, Nyhavn ("New Harbour"). Schwartz is trying to take over the café, in order to turn it into a gambling club, but Joakim Nielsen won't sell. When Joakim Nielsen dies he leaves the café to his niece on the condition that she herself takes leadership of the café. But Schwartz is still plotting to take over using blackmail and other gangster methods. And now all the regular customers have to join forces in order to save café Trinidad.
