І затремтіла земля. І вийшло море з берегів. І був це лише початок всіх лих. А потім… Дівчина, яка самотньо живе на березі моря. Звичного світу більше немає, але для неї день проходить, як зазвичай. Вона заплітає волосся в косиці, пере і сушить білизну. Вона не помічає, як навколо неї речі говорять зі світом — подушка сперечається з парасолькою про зовнішній світ, нова зубна щітка безуспішно намагається бути ввічливою зі старою, а прищіпки сваряться на мотузці. Є речі, якими користуватимуться, доки вони не зламаються. Чи бояться вони, що їх викинуть, коли їхній життєвий цикл завершиться?
