Юрґа і Томас прямують на зустріч із 6-річною дівчинкою, яку вони збираються вдочерити. По приїзді до сиротинця вони дізнаються про помилку: замість дівчинки їх зустрічає 12-річний хлопчик Саша. Директор ставить їм ультиматум: або вони проводять день із хлопцем, а вона вирішує питання з органом опіки, або вона приймає їхню відмову і вони залишаються без дівчинки. Юрґа вирішує пристати на пропозицію не спитавши думки Томаса. До вечора їм доведеться знайти відповідь на питання, що таке справжня сім’я.
