Gustavo is a chef Milan widower who runs a restaurant in Rome: in his local work former boxer Rocky and dishwasher Cecco. The restaurateur is never separated from Walter, a guinea pig, and his son Fabio who gives him a hand as a waiter. In this story Fabio reunited with Chris, his former girlfriend, because she is in Rome intends to hire a cook for her wedding banquet in St. Moritz: the chosen one is just Gustavo, thanks to a trick of Fabio. So Gustavo in St. Moritz has to organize a banquet in the next two newlyweds Steve and Chris. Chris's father, Tony, initially said to be rich, but after you will come to know that the inheritance of his wife Sara did not remain a penny. For marriage are called the two organizers Gina and Paloma: the first is invaghirà groom, while the latter falls in love with Ben, but rejects it as gerontophile (you put it together with the old grandmother of the bride). Everything seems to be going according to plan but some twists mess up the marriage. Eventually Rocky meets Patrizia, which has always been in love, discovering that now is the lover of Tony (although in the end she will reciprocate the sentiment of the former boxer), while Fabio is able to conquer Chris and upsets her marriage to Steve, which in turn is seduced by Gina.

Massimo (Massimo Boldi) è un vedovo un pò stralunato, titolare di un albergo a Cortina, il cui figlio sta per avere un bambino dalla figlia di Angela (Simona Ventura) grintosa proprietaria di una catena di ristoranti tra Miami, Los Angeles e New York. I due consuoceri si conoscono quando i figli, che vivono a Miami, dove gestiscono un ristorante sul mare, decidono di non tornare in Italia per la nascita del bimbo. I rispettivi genitori li raggiungono proprio mentre tra i due giovani scoppia anche una crisi sentimentale. Attorno a loro ruota tutta una serie di personaggi tra fratelli, cognati, l'ex marito di Angela (Nino Frassica), la sua segretaria, che è in realtà è un uomo (Biagio Izzo), costretto al travestimento per non perdere il posto e due improbabili poliziotti americani (Max Cavallari Bruno Arena).
