Сюжет
Дія відбувається в невеликому шахтарському містечку, розташованому в центральній частині Швеції. Там разом зі своєю родиною живе Вероніка Грен, яка працює в поліції. З дитинства героїня страждає від видінь. Щоправда, вона позбавляється від них, коли приймає таблетки, що продаються за рецептом лікаря. Однак час від часу вони призводять до нічних кошмарів і розладів психіки. Одного разу в річці жінка бачить мертвого хлопчика на ім'я Оскар. Вероніка практично впевнена, що це її чергова галюцинація. Надалі вона швидко розуміє, що до неї приходять жертви злочинів, які не були розкриті. Вони хочуть домогтися справедливості, а її минуле здатне допомогти їй знайти злочинця, який все ще розгулює на волі.Сюжет
