Разом з ним стали з'являтися люди з паранормальними здібностями - keiyakusha (досл. ті, що уклали контракт). Ціна дару - власне, те, що робить людину людиною - його почуття. Тих, хто втратив своє людське єство на 100% і перетворився на живу ляльку, називають до:ру. Позбавлені емоцій екстрасенси, здатні без докорів совісті докінчити людину, з успіхом починають використовуватися урядами різних країн як машини-вбивці.
