According to the rapid strides that electricity is making in this wonderful age we are not surprised to see in this picture an ideal hotel of the future in which everything is done by electricity. We see a couple entering the hostelry and, after registering, the clerk touches a button and away goes the baggage on to the elevator, which stops at the proper floors and the grips enter the room without the aid of anyone. Many amusing incidents follow. Finally they pay the penalty for all the latest improvements, for something goes wrong with the electric plant in the cellar and mixes the whole place up. We see all the furnishings start to turn in all directions and the unfortunate guests find themselves in the midst of the affray. They manage to get to the door and are tumbled out and rolled across the street till out of the reach of the magnetic force, where they pick up their belongings and hurry home, vowing never to enter another electric hotel.

After having masterfully taken them for a ride, having brought them down to an effigy, he rolls them up and throws them out the window. But the policemen come back to life and the chase goes on. Pickpock, caught a second time, locked up behind heavy bars, finds a new way of escaping and imprisoning in turn the policemen.

Вчений робить в Академії доповідь про можливість польоту на Місяць. Після бурхливих дискусій вирішено відправити на Місяць експедицію, для якої будується космічний корабель у вигляді порожнього снаряда, який запускається в космос пострілом з величезної гармати. Снаряд падає на Місяць. Академіки виходять на поверхню Місяця, любуються видом на Землю й лягають спати. Ранком вони йдуть досліджувати знайдену печеру, де зустрічають стрибаючих селенітів (у фільмі їх зображували професійні акробати). Розправившись із селенітами за допомогою парасольок, учені вирішують повернутися на Землю, сідають у снаряд, після чого останній академік зіштовхує снаряд із краю Місяця й сам стрибає слідом. Снаряд падає в океан і благополучно допливає до гавані. Прибулих мандрівників з пошаною зустрічають співвітчизники.

At the command of the magician the cloth is suddenly transformed into a beautiful girl, clad in tights. A barrel is then introduced and the girl enters one end. As she makes her exit from the other she is transformed into a man. The man then jumps through a paper hoop, and as he lands on the other side is changed back into the girl. The girl is then placed upon a table, the table is removed, and, to the astonishment of all, she remains in her position, apparently resting in mid-air. Two benches are then introduced and chairs placed under them, a man occupying one and the girl the other. At a wave of the magician's wand the figures fade away. When they reappear the girl and the man have changed places. Wonderful magic.
