Ma il giorno dopo il salvataggio Gennaro si presenta a casa sua e gli chiede di essere ospitato: Aristide gli ha ridato la vita ed ora questa vita é una sua responsabilità . Sempre per via delle elezioni Paoloni accetta e così Vaccariello si installa a casa del commedatore portando con sè i sei figli e uno zio a carico.
