Отримавши запрошення на співбесіду в центральну бібліотеку, студент Флінн Карсен навіть не підозрював, що ця робота стане сенсом його життя. Але, те, що йому запропонували працедавці, сильно різнилося від буденної напівсонної роботи бібліотекаря, перебираючого картки відвідувачів і розкладаючого книги по полицях. Виявляється, в бібліотекаря є інша, таємна сторона, прихована від сторонніх очей. В потаємних кімнатах зберігаються давні артефакти і безцінні скарби, справжні діаманти людської культури, серед яких - меч Ескалібур, оригінал знаменитої «Мони Лізи» (те, що висить в Луврі, звичайно ж підробка). І на Флінна очікує стати їх Охоронцем. З цього ж моменту Флінну потрібно буде забути про спокійне життя і кинутись на пошуки частин Списа Долі, щоби помішати Братству Змії. Йому та його супутниці Ніколь прийдеться проїхати півсвіту, де їх очікують неймовірні пригоди в стилі знаменитої серії фільмів про Індіана Джонса.
