Короткометражна драма переносить глядача до Німеччини часів нацизму й розповідає про один зимовий ранок, що назавжди змінює життя матері та її маленького сина. Прокинувшись, жінка не знаходить у ліжку шестирічного Генріха й, охоплена тривогою, вибігає на вулицю шукати його. Двері квартири їхніх сусідів, єврейської родини, позначені зіркою Давида, відчинені навстіж, у помешканні — безлад, а самих мешканців уже немає.Через спогади розкривається зворушлива дружба Генріха з Давидом, сином сусідів. Хлопчики нерозлучні, і коли родину Давида мають депортувати, мати Генріха, намагаючись уберегти сина від жахливої правди, вигадує історію про те, що сусіди їдуть до «Іграшковії». Але дитяча віра й відданість виявляються сильнішими за страх: Генріх, не розуміючи справжнього сенсу подій, пакує валізу й вирушає разом із другом.
Сюжет
Короткометражна драма переносить глядача до Німеччини часів нацизму й розповідає про один зимовий ранок, що назавжди змінює життя матері та її маленького сина. This short was made expressly for and under the auspices of War Activities Committee of the U. S. Treasury Department, and was distributed to theatres at no charge by only National Screen Services, since the War Activities Committee nor the U. S. Treasury Department had no film-exchange offices nor a theatre-distribution set-up. The premise is that it would take 'taxes to beat the axis', and Donald Duck is a reluctant tax-payer until he listens to a radio broadcast concerning the importance of all U.S. citizens to pay their share of taxes, and Donald gets into a conversation with the radio commentator, and learns why it is important to pay taxes to beat the axis.

Three military men, seen inside a fortification, are firing on an unseen enemy force. The call for reinforcements but ladders appear signaling the enemy is about to overrun this position. As they do all the military men run inside the nearby building and close a large door. Four enemy soldiers and an officer breach the fortification and try to break in the door. Failing this the officer call for the use of explosives. All the enemy soldiers take cover as the door is blown down. The officer is the first to return ordering his men to enter the building. As they follow his order he urges even more men to enter but a shot from within rings out killing the officer.
