Marisol es una chiquilla con un bondadoso corazón y una imaginación desbordante. Cierto dÃa es testigo en un museo del robo y sustitución por una falsificación de un famoso cuadro, "La Madonna de las Rosas". Lógicamente, al principio no la creen, pero finalmente comprueban la veracidad de su declaración. El jefe de la banda de 3 ladrones se llama Pepe, y es un antiguo ventrÃlocuo conocido artÃsticamente como "Joe Carter". Cuando Marisol aparece por televisión amenazándolos con delatarlos si no devuelven el cuadro, éstos deciden raptarla. Pero lo que ellos no saben es que en el fondo son buenas personas...

Carola is a princess in a land far far away that had to run away after revolution in her country. She goes to Spain and has to disguise herself to save her life, because the revolution wants her to die. But Carola doesn't like to be imprisoned and secretly goes out by night to find out how spaniards live. One day, he decides to tell his family that he's married and flies to Italy, where they live, but the flight has an accident and he dies. Years go by, and Marisol, the girl's name will be ten years old soon. She lives in a school, and his uncle and mother visit her once a year. His mother has told her that she is a famous and rich actress so that the girl would not be shy with her friends about her origins. So, she can't never take her daughter with her in the summer, or she will know the truth. But Marisol's grandfather, who hates her mother for "having stolen his son", wants to meet the little girl, and he asks her to go to Italy during the summer with her uncle. The girl will son make the old man and all the citizens in the area of the great mansion where they live think that happiness has come there in the form of the little girl, but the summer goes by and the old man doesn't want to let Marisol go away to Spain because he loves her very much...

RocÃo and her four brothers live in La Mancha village; without work, they win a few coins from tourists that stop by to see the view, showing them an old windmill and convincing them that it was the same that Don Quijote had fought in the old days. (Quijote being a literary, not an historical character). By chance, she meets a couple in difficulties, as the wife refuses to accept that her daughter died recently. The man asks her to pass as the missing daughter, in an attempt to get the wife interested in life again. Telling lies was her job, so RocÃo accepts, knows a luxury life in Paris, but then one problem compounds with another, one lie leads to another, and the young woman doesn't know how to sort things out.
