Історична драма про конфлікт на далекій півночі, між саамами й норвезькими чиновниками у 1850-1853 роках. Коли конфлікт вичерпав себе й переріс у не бувале на той час повстання для північно-норвезької зони. За деякими даними на честь тих події встановили пам'ятник саамам у центрі Норвегії у 20 столітті, тому що те повстання пам'ятають дотепер.
