Two Non-resident Indians Pranai and Rochak come to Hyderabad to take up jobs in their friend's company and settle in Hyderabad. Based in the old city, Ismail bhai and the gang meet up near Charminar and start their daily routine with gossips, babble and talks of bravery. Ismail bhai is apparently the gang leader and his gang comprises Saleem Pheku- a habitual liar, Jahangir - a self claimed hardcore gangster, Gafoor and Chaus who all follow Ismail bhai throughout the film. While visiting the old city, Pranai and Rochak meet the Ismail bhai gang at a hotel in the old city. The Ismail bhai gang gets into a spat with Pranai and Rochak. Rochak and Pranai are guided to safety by their guide as they are chased by the Ismail bhai gang. While Pranai and Rochak are engaged in love affairs in their office, the Ismail bhai gang keeps planning a strategy to seek their revenge. Meanwhile, Ramesh, Pranai's cousin (who is also their butler) colludes with Mama, the typical gangster of the Hyderabadi underbelly, to kidnap Pranai for ransom. Mama and his goons take up the assignment and the plan is set in motion. Ismail bhai is still enraged as he believes that the harmless spat is now a matter worth dying for and is a matter of his honour. On the other side of the town, Mama and his gang enter the residence of the NRIs, at the same time the Ismail bhai gang after sniffing out their whereabouts go into the NRI's house at night to seek their revenge and restore Ismail bhai's image. Mama and gang mistakenly kidnap Rochak. Ismail bhai and gang return from their mission failing as usual. Rochak finds out the mastermind behind the kidnapping and bribes the guard and warns Pranai of his cousin's intentions. Ismail bhai and Mama gang have a brush against each other. Pranai and Rochak succeed in making the two gangs fight against each other and manage their escape. As Mama and gang is nabbed by the Police, Ismail bhai and gang returns to Charminar after being heavily assaulted by Mama and his goons. But Vicky changes the condition that if at least 1 relative of Maggie does not get convinced that Vicky is the correct match for Maggie then he would forget Maggie and leave the contract, else he would marry Maggie and does not leave the contract.Soon, the relatives begin pouring infrom India and among them, to Vicky's shock, is Priya, who happens to be the groom's cousin. During the 4 days, with the help of Priya, he manages to win over the entire family. It is clear that Vicky is going to win Maggie's father's challenge. Priya leaves for India on the night before Vicky wins the challenge, heartbroken at the thought that Vicky is marrying someone else. Vicky receives a message Priya had recorded prior to him rejecting heron his mobile phone where she haddeclared her love for him. He gainsa change of heart on seeing this message and realises how much Priya had loved him and was willingto change for him, in spite of his faults. He also realises the need forcompromises in life. Vicky conveys his feelings to all the wedding guests present and decides not to marry Maggie. Maggie understands his feelings and accepts his decision.Vicky returns to India to win back Priya. After initially playing hard-to-get, Priya accepts Vicky's love and they live happily ever after

Six years after Fiza's (Karisma Kapoor) brother, Aman (played by Hrithik Roshan) disappears during the 1993 Mumbai riots, she goes to look for him. When she does find him, to her horror she sees that he has joined a terrorist group. She forces him to come home, and he finally re-unites with their mother (played by Jaya Bachchan). However his allegiance and thoughts make him want to join the terrorist network, led by Murad Khan (Manoj Bajpai). A confrontation with two men who harass Fiza leads to Aman revealing his involvement with the terrorist network in front of his sister, mother and the police. His mother's grief and disappointment eventually lead her to commit suicide. Fiza tries once more to find her brother, with the help of Anirudh (Bikram Saluja). Aman has been sent on a mission to kill two powerful politicians; when he does succeed in assassinating them, his own terrorist group tries to kill him. He escapes and Fiza follows him. They confront each other and with the police closing in on him, he asks her to kill him. After much persuasion Fiza kills her brother. Aman dies saying the first Kalma in Islam, "La illa ha ill Allah, Mohammad dur Rasullalah"
