2019 рік. Весняні паводки на річці Міссісіпі досягають рекордних рівнів. У Луїзіані жителі міста П'єр-Парт готуються до найгіршого. Якщо не станеться несподіваного повороту подій, місцева влада незабаром буде змушена відкрити затвори водоскиду Морганзи, щоб врятувати міста Новий Орлеан і Батон-Руж від неминучої повені. Віра і стійкість — це дві найкращі стратегії, які в них ще є перед обличчям невизначеності.
