У всякої гри свої правила. У фільмі «Людина з Табуретом» показано подорож-гру до Тихого океану, що тривала рік. Її правила вигадав у 2004 році режисер Леонід Кантер: донести 4 кухонні табурети до 4-х океанів, без грошей, але з камерами в руках, з піснями й виставами про любов та Україну. В останню експедицію тривалістю в рік пішло 20 учасників. Серед них ініціатор експедиції – Леонід Кантер із дружиною та донькою. Унікальні кадри епізодів життя індіанців на карибських островах, бандитських латиноамериканських мегаполісів, вуличні вистави на майданах і палубах кораблів, перипетії між мандрівниками, пейзажі Амазонки та Патаґонії... Ця стрічка мала розповісти про шалені мандри Леоніда Кантера, але сценарій змінило саме життя, а точніше – смерть героя. Довести всім, що неможливе можливо, а мрії здійсненні. Створити власну «країну мрій», але випалити надію в боротьбі за Україну. Яку подорож найшаленіший мрійник вирішив здійснити останньою? І як не втратити світло й тепло, коли зникає вогонь…
