Найтрагічніша з них свідчить, що надкус символізує знання, а сам логотип присвячений видатному математику Алану Тьюрингу, який вчинив самогубство, відкусивши шматок отруєного ціанідом яблука. Так це чи ні, не відомо. Але безумовно і те, що з ім'ям Тьюринга і без того пов'язано багато значних моментів в історії інформатики, та й просто у світовій історії. Він запропонував тест для оцінки штучного інтелекту комп'ютера, розшифрував код фашистської Енігми, що наблизило закінчення Другої світової війни. Тим не менш, більше, ніж його життя, відома його смерть.
