Людська переконливість розказаної історії, її неголосний проникливий пафос зуміли переважити розхожу заданість цілком передбаченого сюжету. І поставили ребром питання: невже тільки потрапивши в подібну ситуацію, представники різних рас і віросповідань наберуться мудрості і навчаться розуміти один одного?
