Марта, шеф-кухар французького ресторану в Гамбурзі, створює на своїй кухні справжні шедеври кулінарного мистецтва. Для неї існує тільки робота. Інесс Конраді вже давно не маленька татова дівчинка – вона доросла жінка, успішний бізнес-консультант процвітаючої корпорації. Але для свого батька Вінфріда (Петер Сімонішек) вона як і раніше мила дитина, яка не завжди розуміє що їй потрібно насправді. Щоб повернути втрачений зв'язок з дочкою, винахідливий татко прикидається таким собі Тоні Ердманном, диваком-бізнесменом, який активно вливається в роботу компанії.
Сюжет

Alex wants love and freedom and sleeps with DIETRICH. It's far from being love, but the sex is okay. With MARC, a little person full of dignity, she finds more than that. The rest is struggles with her passengers, the indifferent and the doomed, brutes as other nuisances. This sort of life could go on and on, Alex could drive away from her own life and in doing so lose Marc and not getting rid of Dietrich.
