Fresh printed bank notes to the value of incredible 10 billion rupies are stolen in India from a train by the henchmen of super-gangster Vikram living in London. The code card only being able to open the container with the money comes into the possession of beautiful Chandralekha. On the way to Vikram she comes across the two thieves Kadir and Azhagu who are on the run from the police - having in tow country-girl Rajathi whom they kept from committing suicide and who then ran away from her ruthless uncle. After some attempts of cheating each other Chandralekha is making friends with the thieves. When she discovers that Vikram is stopping at nothing - especially not at dead bodies - on his hunt after the loot, she informs the three others about the real value of the code card. In the following pursuit between Vikram, the four heroes and a special police brigade which has to get back the money before a state crisis comes about, not only fierce action, but also love comes to its own.

Madhavi assuming Rajni to be a poor villager humiliates him all the time. In a cat fight Rajni kisses Madhavi. From this point Madhavi develops a liking for Rajni and eventually they fall in love. In a triangular story line, Gangadharan's daughter played by Sulokshana, also falls in love with Rajni, however Rajni advices and also reveals that he is in love with Madhavi. A dejected Sulokshana agrees to marry a man selected by her father, played by Sathyaraj. Madhavi's father played by Vinu Chakravarthi coming to know about her love for Rajni, decides to get her married by force to Nizhalgal Ravi. Rajni rescues her and takes refuge in Satyaraj's house. However Sathyaraj turns her over back to the Nizhalgal Ravi who is villainous. In a final fight sequence Rajni rescues Madhavi from Nizhalgal Ravi and returns her to her father. Rajni then leaves the village after learning hard work, discipline and many other good virtues from Gangadharan. The final scene shows Madhavi and her father at Rajni's father house discussing marriage for Madhavi. Circa British rule over India in the year 1942 where Indians are either revolutionaries or supporters of the British. In the midst there is wealthy Narendra Singh alias Naren whose romance with a poor yet beautiful girl, Rajeshwari Pathak alias Rajjo brew changes over the entire scenario but unfortunately there are complications in their relationship as Naren's father, Diwan Hari Singh is an informer of the British, who for his loyalty attain the title of Mayor while Rajjo's father, Raghuvir Pathak is one of the many Indians who are revolutionaries against the British with a motive of a free India.

Both Dhanraj Singh and Randhir Singh are two bitter and old time enemies. They faced a disastrous situation when their children, Raj and Rashmi fall deeply in love. They openly declare their hatred for one another and will do anything in their power, even kill - but they will not accept their children's choice. But Raj and Rashmi are dedicated to their love and are not willing to accept the fact that their fathers are mutual enemies.

Orphan Arun Verma utilizes his adult-hood in raising orphan children, in a house where he is unable to make ends as well as fulfilled the living expenses. International criminal and smuggler, Mogambo, wants his house to store arms and ammunition and thus give him a time-frame to vacate. Arun then decides to arrange for a tenant named Seema Sohni, a local newspaper journalist, to occupy the top flat of the house. Mogambo's men then decides to force Arun to vacate by targeting him and the children. Eventually Arun's dad's friend, Professor Sinha, introduces him to a gadget that will make him invisible, he tries this device and becomes invisible only to retaliates on Mogambo's men calling himself, "Mr. India". He also becomes popular among the people by assisting the ones who are subjected to injustice, no one knows who is this, "Mr. India", except Jugal. Things comes to a boil when one of Arun's children is killed while the others, Seema and he are abducted by Mogambo, who threatens to throw them in an acid pit if "Mr. India" does not show up. Time is behind Arun as he must make such a decision that will not jeopardize the lives of his loved ones as well as the people of India.
