Sigyn delivers the make shift weapon to Rygart and he initially unable to fight Borcuse because he is too fast but when Borcuse's Golen's leg cracks, Rygart damages it. Borcuse comes out of the cockpit and use his handgun to shoot at Rygart replaying Girghe's last moment. Rygart kills him and Borcuse's army lost. Zess upon hearing Cleo's escape decides to find her.

Альтернативний світ 2029 року – світ, у якому співіснують люди і високотехнологічні кіборги, здатні напряму взаємодіяти з Мережею. Головний персонаж фільму – майор Дев’ятого відділу Кусанаґі Мотоко – кіборг з людським розумом усередині кібернетичного тіла. Основне завдання відділу – спіймати оголошеного в міжнародний розшук невловимого хакера, який через велику кількість жертв його діяльності та мимовільних посібників злочинів отримав прізвисько “Лялькар”. Згодом виявляється, що насправді все не так, як здається на перший погляд…
Сюжет
Це продовження легендарної саги Євангеліон. Світ Євангеліону пережив глобальну катастрофу. 15 років тому все змінилося. Тепер люди змушені боротися за своє існування. Та й до всіх бід таємничі "Янголи" атакують Землю. Щоб здолати цю кризу були створені біотехнологічні роботи серії "Євангеліон". Вони єдина надія людства. Керувати цими роботами здатні лише ті, хто може цілком "синхронізувати" себе з біоістотою. Цими пілотами є Шінджі, Аска і Рей. Вони живуть в штаб-квартирі організації "NERV". В другій частині з'являються два нових персонажа - Шікінамі Аска Ленглі з оригінального серіалу, і нова героїня, Марі Ілластріес Макінамі, якої не було в оригінальному серіалі і яка стала пілотом Єви-05. Між ними виникають не прості відносини, але саме від них залежить доля людства.
