Після народження дитини Філіп купує 8-міліметрову камеру і перші любительські досліди присвячує дочці. У маленькому фабричному містечку кіноманський порив дилетанта-оператора не залишається непоміченим, і ось вже Філіп стає особистим помічником місцевого партійного боса.З підвищенням по службі росте і слава любителя; тільки погляд його на реальність через об'єктив стає все більш неприємним і нещадним і таким, що все менш влаштовує можновладців.
Сюжет
Після народження дитини Філіп купує 8-міліметрову камеру і перші любительські досліди присвячує дочці. У маленькому фабричному містечку кіноманський порив дилетанта-оператора не залишається непоміченим, і ось вже Філіп стає особистим помічником місцевого партійного боса.З підвищенням по службі росте і слава любителя; тільки погляд його на реальність через об'єктив стає все більш неприємним і нещадним і таким, що все менш влаштовує можновладців.

Фільм присвячено життю папи Івана Павла II. Дія стрічки розпочинається у Страсну П'ятницю 1926 року в Кальварії-Зебжідовській, коли шестирічний Кароль Войтила разом з батьком бере участь у містеріях, які уособлюють Господню Муку. Далі йде розповідь про найважливіші етапи життя Польщі та життя майбутнього папи, з якими ми знайомимося, спостерігаючи за реальними, і за вигаданими персонажами. У фільмі також використані документальні кадри.
Сюжет
Фільм присвячено життю папи Івана Павла II. Юзеф Козел, колишній учитель і водій "швидкої", зустрічає свою родину після 17 років, проведених у монастирі. Його дружина, молодша донька й син досі не пробачили, як він колись вийшов побігати і не повернувся. Тільки старша дочка Олександра радіє його поверненню. На жаль, Юзеф не готовий до життя поза монастирем. Через 17 років у країні змінився лад, змінились люди, панують нові звичаї... Йому важко порозумітися й зі своєю родиною. Jerzy Stuhr wrote, directed, and starred in this drama about a man sworn to uphold the law who applies a very different moral code to himself than he does to others. As Adam Borowski, Stuhr plays a government lawyer prosecuting a variety of cases, including smuggling, theft, child abandonment, and racially motivated assault. However, Adam's own life is hardly a model by which to live. He's overextended himself financially and is trying to figure out how to avoid paying the hospital bills for his terminally ill mother. Adam is married, but he's been having an affair for some time, and, while he breaks off his relationship with his mistress, he's easily tempted into other liaisons. His wife wants to adopt a handicapped child; Adam would prefer not to have another child in the house, and he uses his influence to slow up the paperwork. And in order to reduce his tax bill, Adam has involved himself in a charitable donation scheme of dubious legality.

Директор Беднаж в шестидесяті керує будівництвом комбінату, розташованого на місці вирубаного заповідного лісу і житлових селищ, хоча зовсім неподалік, але в другом воєводстві, була більш відповідна для цього неосвоєна територія. Дуже скоро з'ясовується помилковість такого рішення, але виправити вже нічого не можна. Конфлікти з місцевими жителями і працівниками комбінату трапляються все частіше і гостріше.Сюжет

A worker becomes a "man of iron" forged by experience, a son comes to terms with his father, a couple fall in love, a reporter searches for courage, and a nation undergoes historic change. In Warsaw in 1980, the Party sends Winkel, a weak, alcoholic TV hack, to Gdansk to dig up dirt on the shipyard strikers, particularly on Maciek Tomczyk, an articulate worker whose father was killed in the December 1970 protests. Posing as sympathetic, Winkel interviews people who know Tomczyk, including his detained wife, Agnieszka. Their narrations become flashbacks using actual news footage of 1968 and 1970 protests and of the later birth of free unions and Solidarity.
