На високогірній рівнині жив баранчик і так пишався своєю вовною, що від радості танцював чечітку. Одного разу за ним приїхали вівчарі і зістригли його шерсть. Разом з цим він втратив впевненість у собі, і сусіди стали сміятися над ним. Повз скакав повний оптимізму гігантський кролень (рогатий кріль). Він втішив баранчика, сказавши, що неважливо, є на ньому шерсть чи ні - головне те, що всередині. Це допомогло баранчикові підбадьоритися, і він танцював цілий рік.

At the Katnip Kollege, we see a roomful of cats taking a course in Swingology. Everyone swings except Johnny, who can't cut it and has to sit in the dunce chair. Miss Kitty Bright tells him to look her up when he learns how to swing. Finally, listening to the pendulum clock at night, Johnny gets the beat. He rushes out to where everyone is playing and sings "Easy As Rollin' Off a Log" to Kitty Bright. She joins in; he grabs a trumpet for an instrumental break, with the complete band. They both fall off a log; she covers him with kisses.

Mickey puts it out, but it, and several kittens, keep coming back in, playing with the equipment, running through the musicians (chased by a broom-wielding Mickey, who does a great deal of damage himself), and generally making a mess of things.

Three hip, Little Pigs are travelling entertainers, moving from straw to wood, to brick nightclubs, playing swinging tunes for high-class, "with it" crowds, but an uncool Big Bad Wolf keeps intruding on their act with with his "corny horn" and uses it to blow their nightclubs down when they throw him out- until they are playing in their brick club and the Wolf tries a more drastic, explosive method for destroying the "House of Bricks".

Flannery assumes by their name that they are pigs but one customer, McMorehouse, who wishes to purchase refuses to pay 48 cents for pigs because he thinks they are pets and should be 44 cents. Flannery decides to write to the head office and asks if they are pigs or pets. While waiting for an answer, the pigs begin to multiply. After a few days, the station is literally filled with guinea pigs and Flannery finally realizes they are pets, not pigs. He goes to McMorehouse's home to deliver them but McMorehouse has moved. Flannery decides to send all the guinea pigs to the head office and learns his lesson about handling pets. Says Flannery, "If the animals come in singles or if they come in sets, if they've got four feet and they're alive, they'll be classified as pets!"

As in the classic fable, the grasshopper plays his fiddle and lives for the moment, while the industrious ants squirrel away massive amounts of food for the winter. With his song, he's able to convince at least one small ant until the queen arrives and scares him back to work. The queen warns the grasshopper of the trouble he'll be in, come winter. Winter comes, and the grasshopper, near starvation, stumbles across the ants, who are having a full-on feast in their snug little tree. They take him in and warm him up. The queen tells him only those who work can eat so he must play for them.
