У малайзійському селі 1965 року молодята готуються до весілля, але спокій руйнують жахливі смерті та надприродні явища. Селяни починають підозрювати появу мстивого духа — понтіанак, пов’язаного з темним минулим одного з чоловіків. Коли правда про старий злочин виходить на поверхню, страх і недовіра охоплюють громаду.
