У докустрічці йдеться про групу українських танцюристів в еміґрації, які формують нову балетну трупу United Ukrainian Ballet. У Вашінґтоні Олексій, один з провідних артистів балету, знайомиться з Олександром Будьком (Тереном) — військовим, який втратив обидві ноги у бою на українському кордоні з росією. Між ними зав'язується дружба, і Олександр приєднується до балетної трупи. Він бере участь у своїй першій хореографічній постановці на сцені у Каліфорнії (США).
