BATTLE OF SURABAYA recounts to you the adventure of Musa, a spontaneous, brave, thirteen-year-old shoe shiner, who makes a living under the pressure of necessity or poverty in the era of World War II. Meeting with Musa, Yumna has turned her life into a more colorful journey. Captain Yoshimura hopes that the war could be ended soon. He misses his wife and his daughter, Kioko, in Tokyo. Mr. Yoshimura helps Indonesia reach her freedom and then he can go back to his country. He has known Musa since he was a child. He is like Musa's father. Although life is not easy, Musa leads a life patiently. To Musa, life is a choice. As a matter of fact, being a shoe shiner is not bad; still, such a job less leads to what he is struggling for, that is to say: patriotic spirit and peace, both based on divine values. Physically he is only a teenager; however, mentally he is a hero. He makes up his mind of choosing a job as a courier. Here, he is not a courier who merely delivers common letters, but the secret letters concerning the strategy of the war adopted from the true, pierce war that broke out in Indonesia, exactly in Surabaya on November 10th, 1945. In the year Universal Century 0079, humans have colonized the area of space lying in between the Earth and the moon. However the ambitious Zabi family, rulers of the Duchy of Zeon (the grouping of colonies furthest from the earth) has sparked a war. Within the first week of this fratricidal conflict, one half of all humans have been decimated. The Duchy, within a month, has invaded and occupied half of the Earth's surface, thanks to the Duchy's ultimate weapon, 60-foot tall, heavily armed and highly maneuverable machines known as "Mobile Suits." The only thing that can save the Federal Forces of Earth is their top-secret "V" Project, based on the loyalist colony Side 7. The aim of the V Project was to build their Mobile Suits for the Federal Forces. As the film opens, Zeon attacks Side 7, sending its top ace, Char Aznable to stop the V Project. 15-year-old Amuro Ray, the son of the chief researcher to the V Project, is struggling to get his friends and neighbors to safety when he runs across an empty mobile suit. This is the Gundam, the sole remaining prototype mobile suit. Firing it up, Amuro becomes an ace almost immediately, killing two Zakus (the standard Zeon MS) with little effort. From there on in, Amuro is drafted into the Federal Forces as are other residents of the colony: Frau Bow, Amuro's neighbor and semi-girlfriend, Kai Shiden, a young photographer who would just as soon stay clear of combat, and Sayla Mass, a woman who seems to have an inordinate interest in Lt. А мирні жителі дивляться по ТБ повітряні бої в реальному часі та обговорюють їх подібно до футбольних матчів.Молодий пілот Юічі Каннамі, який воює на боці “Ростоку”, прибуває до невеличкої бази Уріс, яка знаходиться під командуванням молодої жінки Суйто Кусанаґі. Юічі молодший за неї, оскільки він кілдрен – генетично модифікована людина, яка, досягнувши підліткового віку, більше не старіє. Новачок швидко освоюється на базі та втягується у повсякденне життя пілотів, проте через декілька бойових вилетів починає помічати дивні речі.
