Крендл має нові накази для гарнізону Шаденхолда, на чолі якого стоїть його колишній командир Барабас Дантіох. Покинутий багато років тому Залізними воїнами він втратив прихильність Пертурабо після втрати фортеці в результаті міграції хрудів, внаслідок чого він сильно здав, постарів і ослаб. Однак зараз, заявивши про власну відданість зраднику Хорусу, вони повернулися. В умовах підготовки гарнізону до війни Дантіох має зробити вибір на користь Легіону або Імператора.
