Після подій фільму "Залізна людина 3", Тревор Слеттері відбуває тривалий ув'язнення у в'язниці строгого режиму, під назвою «Seagate». Образ терориста Мандарина приніс головному герою велику популярність і певний захист, а тому актор не боїться і дає свою згоду режисерові-документалісту на інтерв'ю. Цю нетривалу бесіду Джексон Норріс розглядає, як останній шанс зазирнути трохи далі, ніж численні відмовки, тому він зіштовхує Слеттері з деякими елементами його минулого, що б розгадати правду. Неля – власниця музею-садиби народно-побутового ужитку «Омелькова хата» в селі Козубівка Полтавської області. Неля разом зі своїм чоловіком Олександром допомагають адаптуватися в селі переселенцям, що рятувалися від бомбардувань та обстрілів у Харкові. Вони стають один для одного друзями.Через війну, Неля дуже боїться голоду, тому щоб переселенці з Харкова могли себе прогодуватися, вона дає їм великий город з посадковим насінням, на якому вони саджають картоплю та овочі.
З часом стає зрозуміло, що переселенці з міста не готові до важкої фізичної роботи на городі, адже сподіваються, що війна скоро закінчиться. Без догляду посаджений врожай починає псуватися.
Чи вдасться їм знати компроміс, врятувати город і свої взаємовідносини?
