Народжений у п'ятницю, 13-го, в клініці імени Франца Кафки, той, що став сиротою через декілька годин після свого народження внаслідок прикрої суперечки між його батьками, нокаутований в десять років дівчинкою, в яку він був закоханий, той, що живе в скандалах між сварливою бабусею і дядьком-алкоголіком, Ґреґорі Мулен почав життя з того, що називають "важким дитинством".Через 35 років він живе, як і раніше, зі своєю бабусею, безнадійно неодружений і виконує скромні функції службовця в страховій компанії.
