Настав день, коли ледачий літній сторожовий пес стає нікому не потрібний, і господарі вирішують його прогнати зі двору. Останньою краплею, що переповнила чашу їхнього терпіння, стало те, що пес не підняв тривогу під час крадіжки в будинку, під час якої цей ледачий нахлібник був лише байдужим свідком.
