Фільм-експеримент. Фон Трієр списався з культовим данським режисером Йоргеном Летом, на картинах якого він вчився професії в юності, і запропонував зустрітися. Зустріч задокументована у фільмі. Ларс пропонує Йоргену зробити п'ять римейків його класичної короткометражки 1967 року "Ідеальна людина", при кожному римейку виконуючи ряд умов і обходячи ряд перешкод, придуманих фон Трієром. Той погоджується. У Лета з Трієром вийшов навіть не зовсім фільм, а свого роду концептуальний продукт.
Сюжет

While microcosm of Punk/New Wave was taking over NYC in the mid 70s - early 80s, Twisted Sister was battling their way to the top of a vast suburban, cover-band bar scene that surrounded NYC in a 100 mile radius, yet existed in a parallel universe.
