Мона, колишня повія, щоб повернути дочку, розповідає соціальному працівнику свою історію. Її розповідь - це дика, сюрреалістична повість, у якій люди можуть проектувати сни один одного і гостювати в чужих мріях. Жінку продають у шикарний бордель Ліверпуля, примарний світ сексуального рабства, в якому повій змушують відігравати ролі літературних героїнь. Світ, де хто завгодно може реалізувати власні фантазії, а казки стають бувальщиною, якщо ти готовий заплатити за це аж ніяк не малу ціну. Несподівані постріли та спец ефекти надають фільму напруженої загадковості. Чи зможе героїня переконати, що світ її уяви не менш реальний, ніж сірі будні, наповнені смутком і стражданнями?
