Однак виявляється, що директор театру, пропонуючи їм співпрацю, ставить певні умови.Він отримав дотацію в рамках програми популяризації Шекспіра і підтримки діяльності осіб з інвалідністю. Якщо вони хочуть виступити в професійному театрі, то повинні підкоритися. Кшисєк сумнівається… однак приймає виклик. Він починає репетиції, у яких беруть участь професійні актори і «відоме обличчя», зірка Вікторія. Коли вона з’являється, актори Кшиська в захваті. На одній з репетицій директор заявляє, що головну роль не зможе зіграти сестра Кшиська – Мері. Директор невблаганний: з беззубою шепелявою Мері ніякої прем’єри не буде.
