Raghunandan is an ex-Bank of England employee who resigned his lucrative job because he was bored with the rather sedentary and mundane nature of his work. he chose journalism as his next career and worked in different cities in India. He now works for a TV news channel as an interviewer in a popular show named "Show the Spirit". In the mean time, he is in the process of writing an English novel too. He is essentially a loner but is a compulsive alcoholic and has an expensive collection of vintage drinks at home. It was his excessive drinking that resulted in his divorce some years back, but he shares a healthy friendship with his ex-wife Meera and her current husband Alexy. The couple have custody of Raghunandan's and Meera's son Aditya a.k.a Sunny, who is deaf and mute. Raghunandan's fatal addiction towards alcohol takes a heavy toll on his personal and professional life. However, good sense dawns, albeit late, when he comes across a man who is worse than him because of his drinking problem.

The Kunnath family is headed by the conscientious schoolteacher Madhavan Nair who has two young sons, Raja and Surya. On the day of village festival, a teenage boy belonging to the rival Puthiayara family is accidentally and unknowingly killed by Madhavan Nair. Not wanting his father's good name to be spoiled, Raja takes the blame himself and is sent to jail, resulting in his father denouncing him. After release, Raja ends up becoming the right hand man of a gangster in Madurai, adopting the moniker "Pokkiri Raja". Cut to 25 years later, Surya has fallen in love with Aswathy who happens to be the stepdaughter of a corrupt police commissioner. When the evil cop frames Surya, puts him in lockup and insults Madhavan master, the broken-hearted father vows revenge by bringing back his elder son Raja to rescue Surya and finish the commissioner. Raja takes up the offer enthusiastically and vows in front of the commissioner to unite Surya and Aswathy in marriage.

The story of marginalized people in Kerala through the life of a father and Eight year old son. Father worked as a temporary cleaning sweeper. Chami is his friend and fellow worker who belongs a tribal community. They collect the garbage from the city streets into a vehicle and dumps at a rural village. Sometimes father takes his son along with him. During the travel in a trash vehicle father and son seeing and experiences the life of many nameless, faceless marginalized people including themselves in the midst of huge buildings and roaring vehicles. Names unknown are the film about these unknown persons who lives in street. Many real people from the street itself appeared on the camera for this film as the real characters.
