Напередодні падіння “залізної завіси” вона не може зрозуміти, чому люди так легко готові відмовитись від здобутків соціалізму…“Леґенди Ріти” – це радше соціальне послання... Шльондорф дуже різноплановий режисер. Та після успіху “Бляшаного барабана” від нього чекають саме на щось подібне. Хоча, якщо згадати його творчу біографію, – для нього що завжди було важливіше за як.
